Level sensing that never touches the media.

The TLV Sensor reads liquid level from above with optical time-of-flight, so there's no probe or float in the tank to coat, corrode, or stick.

Typical accuracy
TLV Sensor, with its shielded cable and 1 inch NPT process thread.

Mounted on the lid. Nothing in the liquid.

The TLV times an infrared pulse off the liquid surface and turns the distance into the analog signal your controller already reads. Replacing a float or a contact probe means swapping the part, not the system.

Mount
Thread it into a 1" NPT fitting on the lid. Straight, metric, and sanitary connections are available for vessels that need them.
Set the window
Pick the near and far distances in the free TLV Configurator. The sensor maps that window onto its output span.
Wire it
4–20 mA, 0–20 mA, 0–5 V, or 0–10 V into the analog input you already have. No gateway, driver, or middleware.
How the TLV Sensor reads a tankSection view of a tank. The TLV Sensor threads into a 1 inch NPT fitting in the lid and reads the liquid surface through a cone-shaped field of view. A measurement window between a near and a far limit is mapped onto the analog output (4–20 mA, 0–20 mA, 0–5 V, or 0–10 V), which runs on the sensor's cable to an existing PLC or SCADA analog input.Eye-safeIR laserTLV Sensornear limitfar limitAnalogoutput span

The TLV Configurator app showing output mode selection, distance limits, and a live distance readout for a connected sensor.

Set up over USB-C. No licence to buy.

The TLV Configurator for Windows is free. Pick the output mode, set the measurement window, and watch the live distance and output while you tune against the real tank. Save the setup as a profile to apply across a fleet, and update firmware from the same app.

No PC on site? Plug a USB drive into the sensor and it logs readings straight to CSV.

Machined, assembled, and tested in Albany, Oregon.

Housing, electronics, firmware, software: all of it comes out of our shop. Every sensor is assembled and tested by the team that designed it, so when you have a question, you get the people who built the board, not a script.

Two-year warranty. If a sensor fails in service, we ship a replacement.
